What if the answer is just plain text with no structure?
It still works. Unstructured prose is analysed for topic shifts and split into slides with generated titles. You will get a cleaner result if the ChatGPT answer uses headings or a numbered outline, so asking it for 'a slide-by-slide outline' first is worth the extra prompt.
Are the slides editable or just images?
Editable. Text is real text in real placeholders, tables are PowerPoint tables, and bullets keep their indent levels. The only case that produces an image is when your source explicitly renders a diagram that has no native PowerPoint equivalent.
How long can the pasted text be?
Long answers are fine — multi-thousand-word outlines are normal input. Very long pastes are split across more slides rather than truncated, so a long chapter-style answer becomes a longer deck instead of a cut-off one.
Can I use output from Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek instead?
