Features
Paste the link, skip the download
Google Slides has no "make notes" button, so the usual route is File → Download → .pptx, find the file, then upload it. Here you paste the share link and the deck is fetched for you.
Every slide read, speaker notes included
Slide titles, bullet text, tables and the speaker-notes field all go into the notes, so what was written under each slide is not lost.
Eight note styles
Choose Summary, Bullet Points, Cornell Notes, Handwritten Notes, an exam Reviewer, a multiple-choice Quiz, Flashcards or a full Study Guide.
An editable Word document
Download a .docx you can open in Google Docs, Word, Notion or Obsidian, cut down to what will be examined, and print.
Turn Google Slides into notes without downloading anything first. Paste the share link of a Google Slides presentation and the converter fetches the deck, reads every slide (titles, bullets, tables and speaker notes) and writes study notes in the style you choose: Summary, Bullet Points, Cornell Notes, Handwritten Notes, an exam Reviewer, a multiple-choice Quiz, Flashcards or a full Study Guide. It works with any presentation shared as "Anyone with the link"; nothing has to be published to the web. Decks posted in Google Classroom are often shared only with your class, and those cannot be read from a link. For those, use File → Download → Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) and upload the file instead: same notes, one extra step. Try without sign-up.
Key Benefits
Common Use Cases
How to Turn Google Slides into Notes
1. In Google Slides, click Share → General access → "Anyone with the link" (Viewer is enough), then Copy link. 2. Paste the link into the box above and pick a note style. 3. Press Generate Notes. The deck is fetched, every slide is read, and the notes appear in the preview in about 30 seconds. 4. Download the notes as a Word document, or copy them into Google Docs or your notes app.
If Your Google Slides Link Doesn't Work
"This presentation is private" means the link only opens for people signed in with access. Change General access to "Anyone with the link", or download the deck as .pptx and upload it. A link containing /d/e/ and ending in /pub is a "Publish to the web" link. Google does not allow those to be downloaded, so open the original presentation and copy its normal share link (docs.google.com/presentation/d/…/edit). If the file is a PowerPoint stored in Google Drive (the link contains rtpof=true), Google will not export it from the link. Download it with File → Download and upload the .pptx. Very large decks can exceed Google's export limit. Downloading the .pptx and uploading it works for those too.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn Google Slides into notes?
Share the presentation as "Anyone with the link", copy the link, paste it into the box on this page, pick a note style and press Generate Notes. The notes are written from every slide, speaker notes included, and you can preview them before downloading.
Does my presentation have to be public?
It has to be shared as "Anyone with the link" (Viewer is enough). It does not need to be published to the web, and nobody can find it unless they have the link. If you can't change the sharing, download it as .pptx in Google Slides and upload the file instead.
Are the speaker notes included?
Yes. The deck is fetched in PowerPoint format, which carries each slide's speaker notes, and those are read along with the slide text, bullets and tables.
Why does it say my link is a "Publish to the web" link?
Links that contain /d/e/ and end in /pub come from File → Share → Publish to web. Google offers no download for those. Open the original presentation and copy its normal share link instead.
Can I make flashcards or a quiz from Google Slides?
Yes. Pick Flashcards or Quiz (multiple choice with an answer key) before generating. Every style can be previewed without signing up; downloads, and the Anki and Quizlet exports of flashcards, need a plan.
Is it free?
You can generate and preview notes without signing up. Downloading the Word document needs a plan, and the price is shown before you pay.
Can I convert a PowerPoint file instead?
Yes. The same box accepts a .pptx, .ppt or PDF upload, and the Turn Slides into Notes page covers PowerPoint files in more detail.
